Arriving At Vienna

Vienna International Airport is located 12 km south east of the city and runs three terminals and two runways (a third is being discussed).

I love travelling home by plane, whether I come in from the northwest (London) or southwest (Portugal). When flying there, get your camera ready for a few nice shots. If you arrive from the West to South West (not London, unfortunately) you may get the pleasure of flying over the Austrian Alps. If you come in from the East, you will likely notice a big lake right before you arrive in Vienna. This is Lake Neusiedl, one of the few veld lakes in Europe and World Heritage Site due to its stunning wetland wildlife.
